3000 registrants, and Pro Pack pre-registering is still open

Our 3000th user registered today. This will probably be the last thousand-mark milestone we’ll be crossing while FunkyTime is still in beta, since we are getting very close to our 1.0 launch.

About that: we are still accepting pre-registers for the Pro Pack, which means that you can use the Pro Pack features for free while we are still finalizing everything. As an added bonus, all pre-registrants will get 2 months Pro Pack for free once it launches! So log in, go to your profile, and check the ‘Account’ tab to pre-register. Note that this offer will expire in a few weeks.

As a final reminder, pre-registering does not commit you to anything. If you decide you’re not interested, you won’t have to pay a penny. Or a cent, for that matter.

Anyway, back to work! While finishing the Pro Pack features, we are currently also finishing work on the new layout of the website. It won’t be live for a while yet though. And I’m probably not supposed to talk about it yet, so don’t tell anyone you heard it from me!

FunkyPreneurs Club is growing

Today we added our tenth user case on the FunkyTime website. Ten users from different sectors with one common denominator – they are all so happy about using FunkyTime that they want to tell that to the world. By the end of the Summer, we will provide all our ambassadors with a public stage to show their activity and be even more proud of FunkyTime.

2500 users in our first year

FunkyTime went live (in beta) one year ago this week. Over 2500 people have started using FunkyTime since then. Two thirds of them in Dutch (64%); a quarter in French (23%) and an eighth in English (13%).

Now let’s dive into our second year and see what that brings?

Today, we were able to get hold on www.funkytime.com, which we will use as the de facto url for FunkyTime from now on. You can already use www.funkytime.com and get to the existing website which we originally published on .be and .eu.

Today, we crossed 1900 users for FunkyTime. And we cross our fingers to reach 2000 before the end of 2010.

Technical highschool tracks time for integrated practical

In the Provincial Technical Institute in Zottegem (Belgium), last year students are now using FunkyTime to keep track of the time they spend on their integrated practical. This practical integrates skills from various courses and is part of their final exam. The Flemish government demands schools to provide proof that students spend a certain effort to this practical and therefore students keep track of time in timesheets. Before they started to use FunkyTime, they used a paper log book. Now, they use internet to keep track of their time and print the results in pdf format. That reduces the amount of paperwork and eases individual coaching of each student.

Today, we agreed to do a series of co-marketing activities with 4D vision, a Belgian software developer who develops web-based ERP systems for mid-sized organizations in Flanders and Holland. 4D vision plans to integrate FunkyTime with their future projects. Our technical development team is now using the specifications from 4D vision, to ensure a smooth integration between these two web environments. Our first joint activity will be a partnership announcement press release and client mailings.
